COMUNE snowboard contributor Ben Rice recently took a trip to Europe. Naturally, he neglected to plan for his trip in any possible way. No plan, no worries right?
Well, all he has to show for it are these one-hour-photo prints. Thanks Ben, glad you had a blast and once again learned nothing!
Luckily COMUNE/Drop City contributor Ryan Scardigli was along for the ride to shoot a charming video.
Here’s what Ben had to say about his trip:
I went to Europe a little over a month ago to shred and to attend a Bataleon Snowboards sales meeting. I was supposed to fly out the 17th, but I blew it and missed my flight and had to rebook the following day, so needless to say I was off to an amazing start . Landing at the airport, I was met by a familiar face, COMUNE Filmer, Ryan Scardigli and Kerstin Rathmanner, Bataleon marketing manager/best tour guide ever. I was taken over to Bataleon’s main office in Amsterdam to check out their office/warehouse. Afterwards Ryan and I had the day to stroll the streets of Amsterdam. We explored coffee smoke houses and observed the beaten path of the world famous red light district. The next day we drove through Germany to Munich and picked up Kyle Lopiccolo from the airport. We stayed the night and toured around. Our next destination was Mayerhofen to stay with the rest of the team. For the next week we snowboarded and filmed on glaciers called Hintertuxer, Stubai and Kitzsteinhorn. They were all huge and looked like fun if there was snow. After shredding some fucking hard snow we set sail for the Elan factory in Villach, Austria for the sales meeting. A few days of Bataleon education followed by a few nights of drunken debauchery and good times.
