Dr Kim Holt returned to work in October; four years after her last consultation. In what has become a very high profile case, Dr Holt and three colleagues wrote to their management to raise alarms over staff shortages, excessive workloads and admin chaos – claiming the situation could lead to a tragedy. The death of Baby Peter followed.
This interview was aimed at doctors who might find themselves in a similar situation, where patients’ safety is at risk as a result of failings in the system at their place of work.
Also interviewed - Dr Stephanie Bown of the Medical Protection Society.
