I did this shoot to test out the cinema (cineplus) picture style and more importantly come up with a workflow so I can shoot,edit and color correct as quickly as possible. To alleviate the issues I was having with using a contrasty lens and picture profile I used the tiffen ultra contrast filter on my lens to lift the shadows. The filter works with ambient light to dynamically lower your contrast and it allows you to shoot at lower exposures/iso's saving you from image noise and compression issues when grading. It basically compresses your dynamic range allowing you to get more flexibility out of your DSLR (dslr's have an extremely limited dynamic range) I need to do more testing with the cineplus picture style. I also used magic bullet mojo for the grading, it was quick and easy to render
