Many feel that it is harder to trust others, trust society, and trust our leaders than it used to be. In the Luke passage this week, a woman has been “bent over” for eighteen years. Does she even know what it’s like to stand up straight any more? A bent over life is all she knows. Have we gotten used to a “bent over life?” Do we need to be set free?
