On June 21st WalkDenver along with the Vietnamese American Community of Colorado (VACC) hosted the first ever Night Market. We repurposed the Asia Center parking lot at Federal and Mississippi, transforming it into a public plaza. By setting up an artistic pedestrian walkway, trees and plants lighting and public seating, we demonstrated the types of improvements community members have told us they would like to see on Federal Blvd to make it safer, more inviting place to walk.
600 people came out in the rain to celebrate the local asian street food, partake in the pho eating contest and listen to live music!
