This is a special two day workshop on Canadian food labelling, focusing on labelling modernization. The program is suitable for all levels of experience, as it covers in detail the labelling features noted in the outline below. Emphasis, however, is on Canada’s broad new food labelling modernization plans. These include the already finalized new ingredient and nutrition labelling rules under the FDR, (Food and Drug Regulations), but also the new Front of Packaging, (FOP), nutrition symbols requirements which are likely to be finalized in fall of 2019. We are not finished yet! We will also look at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA), new proposed food labelling rules modernizing the FDR and the Safe Food for Canadian Regulations (SFCR).
