In January of 2018, a group of formerly incarcerated and systems-impacted youth discovered that Los Angeles County was planning to spend 3.5 billion dollars to expand the largest jail system in the world. They realized that if they came together, and wrote their stories into a script, it could help change the course of history.
ACT TWO began as an original piece of devised theater, written and performed entirely by youth impacted by the Los Angeles Probation system. It was adapted into a short film with generous support from the 21st Century Fox Social Impact program, and premiered at The Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts in April of 2019.
