Sailplane winch launch at SPA

It takes about 3 seconds to get the Grob-103 Acro into the air when the winch revs up. Total weight at that point about 1,000 lbs. The glider rises at about 45 degrees after an altitude of about 200 ft is reached. The powerful winch makes for a very exciting and fast launch, and you reach release altitude of 1,500 or higher in about 45 seconds.
