Trade Secrets is a new series of informal interviews with visual artists commissioned by Artquest to mark its 10th anniversary.
Each episode sees an artist that Artquest has worked with or supported reflect on their practice and share valuable knowledge on sustaining a career in London.
With perspectives from varied disciplines and levels of experience, these films highlight common concerns and approaches to overcoming challenges that artists face today, and speculate as to what the next 10 years might hold.
In this film artist Maria Amidu talks about how she makes a living from a 'non-commercial' practice through working in gallery education and shares advice on how artists can best prepare to work abroad.
