Sam Demma is a recipient of Contiki’s top 35 under 35 global changemaker award, an alumni of the Starfish Canada top 25 under 25 environmental award, the co-founder of the social enterprise PickWaste, and a 20-year-old youth speaker.
Sam has dedicated his life to helping students answer the question, "can I make a difference?" In the process, he has travelled across the country speaking at schools, conferences and events and is passionate about helping students cultivate lives filled with resiliency, leadership, purpose, and service.
But it’s not just a speech. Through the use of strategic storytelling, interactive audience engagement and humour, Sam provides an experience that students never forget.
Sam has been recognized on national news, delivered 2 TEDx talks, worked with brands such as A&W, spoken alongside Craig Kielburger (founder of ME to WE) and has had his speech shared by Ashton Kutcher.
He is also a connector for the League of Innovators, the emcee of Speaker Slam youth, and the youngest member of an advanced Toastmasters club. From soccer to social impact, Sam is the example of what happens when young people follow their dreams with small consistent actions.
