Our initial discussions about our quantitative data revealed that we had taken different approaches to gathering the same information and so it wouldn't be accurate to present comparisons. By itself we didn't feel that the data gave us a story worth telling.

Originally we decided to also take a more ethnographic approach to the project and had collected additional sketches showing our movements through our bedrooms, both before going to sleep and right after waking up. Once we made the decision to not focus on the obvious, this qualitative data revealed a more meaningful story.

The visualization is not meant to give a scientific understanding of the sleep patterns. This approach aims to understand our habits surrounding the places in which we sleep and our movements through time and space. We hope this presents a more playful, creative look at our routines and habits and how they could relate to our sleep patterns.
