October 3-4, 1992. This is tiring to even watch, let alone remember the details. This was the time that Lisa, James, and I made tourism into full-contact, high-intensity bloodsport. This is good example of why you don't give a child a whole box of Oreos for dessert because they might just eat them. We were NOT catching up on the sleep we'd missed in Pisa, but WERE trying to catch up on all of the sites that we had not been able to get into because of the strike. Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Palatine Hill (Roman Ruins), the Arch of Constantine, then finally made it to the Roman Colosseum when it started pouring down rain the rest of the day. The next day we went to San Pietro in Vincoli (Peter in Chains), saw Michaelangelo's Moses, went BACK to the Colosseum for more unrushed footage, then St Giovanni (St John) Basilica, and (across town to) the Roman Baths. There may be a short clip in there somewhere of a subway, but we mostly walked to WHOLE TIME!
