'Thank Dog' is a short film by Danny Barak, produced in July 2011, showing the real story of the adoption of a dog, which was previously abandoned by his owners and had to live many months in a cage in the governmental animal shelter of Ibiza.
Caramela, which is the dogs name, found a wonderful new home in Austria, through the efforts of Ursula Esterházy, who dedicated her second life to the dogs without homes.
Ursula gives the new owners the opportunity to meet their favorite dog in Ibiza and to live for a few days for free in Ursula's Finca.
Of course they can still change their mind, if the dog they previously selected does not fit their expectation, as it was the case in our film.
It is just one short story of so many others and shall only give you a glimpse into one aspect of the life of an animal welfare activist.
Ursula is engaged in animal welfare, i.e. she frees abandoned dogs of the Perrera and takes them to her home, gives them all necessary medical treatments and a peaceful surrounding, teaches them to be family dogs, to live inside the house, to socialize themselves with many other dogs - small and large, male and female!
Once the dogs have regained their inner balance, she looks out for nice families in Germany, Austria & Switzerland, where they will be equally respected and can peacefully spend the rest of their lives.
Ursula's Website is tierschutz-ibiza.com , where you can see all the dogs ready for adoption and also those ones, who still are spending their time waiting for a second chance, behind the iron bars of the Perrera Sa Coma.
The first song of this Video is produced and presented by Lev Tahor, musicians of our beautiful island: Amu and Maureen!
This short movie was produced charitably, as a contribution to animal welfare on the island of Ibiza.
