Added to Vimeo for the purposes of my portfolio.
First shoot with the Panasonic AG-AC130. Getting a handle on pulling focus with the new camera, proper exposure, etc. I shot everything a bit overexposed (not on purpose) and tried to correct it after but we lost some of the potential rich color. Working with the Sennheiser G3 wireless lav mic in all these shots.
The main challenge was our timeframe. The 'Shit girls say' and videos based on that concept were quickly saturating social media shares and getting old - so in order for this to work, we needed a finished product within approx. 2 days from starting so we could release it on the weekend.
This piece was shot for Bikes Belong, a non-profit in Boulder, Colorado, in 2.5 days from receiving the green light to shoot to approved final product on the web. As of writing this, we've seen approx. 350k views on YouTube within 4 days and the overarching goal of increasing signups for the People For Bikes pledge (peopleforbikes.org/pages/pledge) has been a tremendous success - making for a happy client!
"I am for bikes. I'm for long rides and short rides. I'm for commuting to work, weekend rides, racing, riding to school, or just a quick spin around the block. I believe that no matter how I ride, biking makes me happy and is great for my health, my community and the environment we all share. That is why I am pledging my name in support of a better future for bicycling—one that is safe and fun for everyone. By uniting my voice with a million others, I believe that we can make our world a better place to ride."
