Building a second chance. A construction program at the East Mesa Reentry Facility is helping prepare students for apprenticeship programs.
Participants receive instruction and training from Grossmont Adult School and graduate with certifications recognized by construction trades in the United States and Canada. Professors from University California, San Diego teach students the science, math and engineering of the industry. Participants also earn a credential for workplace safety education required by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL/OSHA) - making them attractive to potential employers.
Salaries in the construction trades range between $14 to $50 per hour depending on your level of expertise. #ReentryWorks.
