This piece relates to Penghana, the historic home of Robert Sticht, once director of the Mt Lyell Mining & Railway Co in Queenstown, western Tasmania.
The work was exhibited as a video projection in the attic of Penghana. It imagines the sphere of influence commanded by Sticht through a representation of all the named places within 50 miles of Queenstown and his home. The work was developed using Processing.
This work was commissioned for an exhibition titled TRUST, as part of the 10 Days on the Island Festival for 2010. The project involved artists creating site specific works in response to National Trust Tasmania historic properties.
