On the heels of opening her first flagship store and creative headquarters The Annex, fashion designer Geren Lockhart teams up with film, commercial, and music video costume designer Casey Storm to direct his first in what will be a series of short films inspired by the Spring 2012 collection for her namesake lifestyle brand Geren Ford. Echoing the line's wanderlust for life and as-chic-at-noon-as-at-midnight ethos, the film is a visual recap of "the night before," a peek into late-night mischief of a get together where decorum and good manners went home hours ago and with each step unfolds epic house party lore, mischief and chaos, and the blossoming of young love. "Who better than a costume designer and skilled storyteller to conceptualize a short film revolving around life and clothes?" says Lockhart, who first met Storm on the set of a commercial over 15 year ago. This being the first directorial endeavor for Storm (whose costuming credits include Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are, Zodiac, and Harmony Korine's recent short film, "Rebel," starring James Franco), the pair tapped into their talented pool of mutual friends including director of photography Wyatt Troll, musicians John Gold who provided the track "Mandarine" and Rain Phoenix who cameos, stylist Patrik Milani, and production design team Robb Buono and Nicole Selmo, to assemble a team able to pull off this cinematic feat in one night.
