This animation is an example of the visual language of “The Money Machine”, a multi-media performance piece that employs the talk radio format to present a debate about the culture of "free market" capitalism.
The animation, employs a unique form of 35 mm photography-based digital animation to present the various rhythms of New Yorkers as they move through the city streets. The intent is to emphasize the beat of the marketplace and moments where individuals push back against the pace and dominant rhythm of the metaphorical money machine.
This project was awarded a fellowship from the Bogliasco Foundation in Italy.
