I am not in favor of this plan. [a Nycha leader spoke for residents, but...] I have spoken to 2,000 people about this [in public housing]. About 90 of them have heard of it [the plan]
There is a way of doing it without destroying the park....It’s not about the trees; it’s about the oxygen.
