Our first water project was partnering in providing a clean water line to an orphanage in Kenya. Naomi’s Village makes it their goal to rescue children from dire situations and educate them to build strong leaders with in their own country. With a volcanic climate, any water well in this area would only provide hot salty water. So we had to think outside of the traditional box. With the contribution of a generous donor Water-Thirst was able to be a part of something bigger than when working alone. This meant building an 8 mile water line to bring fresh water from a spring high up in the mountains. Now, with a sanitary living environment and clean water, to support better health, these children are able to go to school and stay healthy for a better future. We are looking to continue support by increasing their water supply through methods such as rain cache systems or additional spring collection.
