It's a story of Bill Pollard, a 96 yr old WWII Veteran, who in March 2019 created a small war library at his VA retirement home in Cameron, Missouri.
In his library he pays tribute to his Kansas City neighbors the Greenberg family, who were survivors of the holocaust. Abe & Helen Greenberg were married before the war and had two sons.
They survived the Lodz ghetto only to be sent to Auschwitz where their two boys were exterminated. Miraculously Abe found Helen after the war and they moved to the US to start over.
Bill Pollard's son Larry and Abe Greenberg's son Gene made "a promise to their fathers." To never let the story die. In this documentary we tell the remarkable story of Abe & Helen Greenberg and show how one of the last witnesses to the horror is still telling their story.
