Palau's premiere site is that for a good reason, with large numbers of animals in every direction. The site regularly has more than 20 boats there at the peak times. So as well as the native species there are huge numbers of the less well adapted kind there too. Various sections of the site designated "hooking areas" are now devoid of corals after thousands of tourists have passed through. Strong currents challenge all but the most experienced and physically capable divers but the vast majority of visitors here are inexperienced, once a year divers, each one seemingly desperate to record for posterity their visit.
