Outside Wedding at Castle San Cristóbal in Old San Juan
Camilla + William wed last summer, at Castle San Cristóbal in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. This beautiful outdoor ceremony was followed by a colonial-like reception at The Campeche Lounge, also in Old San Juan.
Nestled in the heart of Puerto Rico’s capitol city, Hotel El Convento is a masterpiece of Spanish Colonial architecture and design.
This stunning San Juan hotel is the only "Small Luxury Hotel" in Puerto Rico and the oldest member of Historic Hotels of America.
This unique, Old Spanish wedding concept was created by talented Puerto Rican wedding coordinator Yma Doitteau, from Invita Wedding + Event Design.
We’d like to add, as a curious fact: this luxurious hotel in Old San Juan is a lovingly restored 350-year-old Carmelite convent. Nevertheless, it has elegant, comfortable and indulging accomodations, while preserving its rich and historical character.
Plus, this 465-year-old neighborhood, originally conceived as a military stronghold with adoquine-paved streets, is a very challenging place to film, for any cinematographer. But for Raymond Video Productions, these city walls speak of great romantic stories that have been, and will be.
Between the walls of 16th- and 17th-century Spanish colonial buildings, the eyes of the Sanjuanero are the lens that capture this bit of the Old World on a daily basis, when walking through the narrow, steep streets and frequently heavy traffic.
