My entry to this months Loopdeloop challenge!
The theme was "Cheese Dreams", wherein the challenge was to gobble up cheese before bed and use your crazy lactose induced dreams to inspire an animated loop.
Unfortunately my dream turned out to be a nightmare. It also comes with a bit of back story.
You see, when I was younger, no one ever taught me how to braid hair. I would always stare at the other girls with french braids and plaits, and wonder how on earth they got that way. As a 12 year old, this was extremely traumatic. It got to the point where I was too embarrassed to ask, and terrified one of the other girls would ask me to braid theirs. I'd see a schoolyard hair-chain start and bolt.
I know it's simple. I've read the literature, studied demonstrations and so on, and to this day I STILL can't complete a neat braid. I put it down to poor motor control.
Anyhow, I ate some cheese, went to sleep, and for what felt like an eternity- I dreamt I was 12 again, trying to make a simple braid and failing hard.
Very rough. Animated on the fly in flash.
