The Acting Conservatory offers comprehensive acting, voice, and movement training
to students interested in pursuing careers on stage or in film and television. A large
majority of jobs within the acting industry come from one of two fields: on-camera
work and Shakespeare. As a result, the Acting Conservatory places emphasis on
these two areas of study, preparing students for entry into top universities/
conservatory programs and/or the professional industry.
Throughout their time in the Acting Conservatory, students learn all aspects of the
craft, are exposed to a variety of acting techniques and styles, and participate in
performances both on campus and within the community. Additionally, the
conservatory has cultivated a partnership with the professional company
Shakespeare Orange County, which provides students with unique educational
opportunities each year. Acting Conservatory students also participate in workshops
and master classes with renowned guest artists and practitioners.
The conservatory faculty is comprised of working professionals, career educators,
and specialists who are dedicated to educating and nurturing the next generation of
world-class artists and scholars.
