A video made with shots taken on a disposable camera at exhibition Obsolete Desire 2016.
Instead of guitar hero sounds that you might expect we hear only subtle use of guitar sounds and other field recordings, which create a background of sounds incongruous with the images. This displacement of sound challenges the viewer to look harder at the images to find a meaning that may not be immediately visible. The inflatable guitars act as a prop for taking the participants to a state of playfulness within an otherwise formal gallery setting. Participants find themselves performers in the gallery, and only see the pictures developed after three years which contrasts to the "instantness" experienced with digital photos.
