The theme for tonight was color and contrast. We were pushing the limits of what the Canon T2i and T3i are capable of and found that it is always a trade off between depth of field and iso. We don't like adjusting our shutter speed and always try to keep it around 50. We used two lens for this, a 24 and 85 mm prime, and manually adjusted the white balance using an 18% gray card. The zooms were done in post. We note that it is very easy to have lights overexpose. It just depends on what look your trying to create. There was no color grading done in post. We always try to get what we want in-camera as much as possible. And don't forget to take any UV filters off at night OR you get the green dots as we did around the 1:12 mark.
