For this project, I took a picture of my glasses after they had been missing for a week. I was so excited to find them that I used them as my subject for this project. I set the picture up on my desk with random accessories, like a disposable camera, a notebook, and a campell's soup can in the background. Once I had a picture that I liked, I began to apply the databending process to the picture.
Databending is a diverse type of art. The process that I used was one that uses the sound that is contained in an image and then allows it to be edited through the sound being broken up. I created a various array of pictures through the databending process and then used Final Cut Pro to connect the images into video format. I enjoyed using effects like Echo, Bass Boost, and Invert which added diversity to my pictures.
In this re-edditted version, I hoped to add a feeling of excitement. I organized the pictures in several parts that added a sudden rushed feeling that I enjoyed. The color is something I also really concentrated on. The color is very exciting and fun. The color also allows the viewer to concentrate on the movement of the glasses throughout the video.
