My technical demo reel 2012.
Technical Demo reel showing a number of plugins I wrote during internships and personal projects.
- Quick toolkit for adding feathers or any other attaching objects on a surface.
- Editable feathers using sub locators that are attached to the surface and control the shape and look.
Custom Curve Tool:
I found it the standard Nurbs Curves tools a little messy. Controlling them needed clusters that would constraint the CV's. This plugin creates a curve based on locators. The bezier data is converted into the regular nurbs curve of maya. This way it can be used with maya's default tools as well.
This way we are adding more support with more control data like rotations and twists.
Custom Loft Node:
The loft node is such an example, it uses the data from the curve tool to calculate the twisting along a curve. Giving us more control over the shape. Handy when creating a roller coaster ride!
Mesh Blur (personal project):
A little deformer that smears the mesh along previous frames to give it a blurry look. Developed during a school project, was just exploring the options in C++ Maya API.
