This video was made to promote the non profit organization Health Start, which strives to teach kids healthy living at an early age to grow up living healthy lifestyles.
Health Start is currently testing their Health Education Curriculum at a few schools in the Austin, Texas, area.
One of the concepts of Health Start is, not only to learn about being healthy, but bringing the curriculum home, and having the kids actually wanting to learn, eat, and play healthy.
The kids of AHB Community School, and El Buen Pastor Child Development Center, were given I flip cameras to take home and record what they learned from the classes, and what they knew about being healthy. The parents were to ask something like:
What do you do with your brain?
What do you eat and drink to keep you brain healthy?
How do you keep your brain healthy when you play?
