This video providers an overview of SI System's A-Frame automated picking technology. For this system, product is stacked into vertical channels on either side of powered conveyor. As a tote or shipper moves down the conveyor, products that pertain to that specific order are picked automatically. The system is timed and calibrated to ensure all products successful reach the tote or shipper as it traverses the order picking area.
Order start begins with the tote / shipper being scanned at the start of the A-Frame. This container is then married with the next order in the order cue. Our system can be calibrated to accommodate "multiple container" orders that can be aggregated in downstream operations. A typical implementation of our A-Frame technology includes a hospital lane / divert at the end of the A-Frame for any miss picks or errors the picking process. To note, our advertised picking accuracy is 99.9%
