On February 2nd, five of us travelled by means of skis, splitboards and boot packing to the summit of Avalanche Mountain in Rogers Pass. Via the south face between Eagle and Avalanche, we summited the western most peak. Our descent route saw us on the East face for 100m, then the North cooly "Vent Shaft", and finally spilling out onto the West bowl to the highway. Fantastic day surrounded by big mountains, dramatic light and as always great friends.
Thanks to Garrett Grove for the photo of the Vent Shaft.
