This is the eleventh in a series of brief videos on how to use Autodesk Maya to create animated projects. The videos are meant for beginners and each one focuses on a single topic. In this video we look at 3 sorts of textures: 2D raster, 2D procedural, and 3D procedural textures (as they are used in Maya). We also look at materials (often called shaders) and how bump mapping with a texture can be used to give a material a unique look. We look at the creation of a table top with a varnished wood look and at the creation of a simple marble floor.
