On a snowy night of February 8th, 666 men and women ran NYRR's 35th annual Empire State Building Run Up - climbing a staggering 1,576 steps and a total of nearly a quarter mile in elevation - straight up to the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building. Open to the general public as well as attracting runners from over 25 countries, this charitable event has raised over $500,000 for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. -
27 year old German Thomas Dold won the elite men's race for a record-breaking 7th year running, completing in 10 minutes and 28 seconds. New Zealander Melissa Moon (42) won women's, completing in 12 minutes and 39 seconds.
