On 17 September 2019 Into the Wild spent a day at Live Art Development Agency's (LADA's) study room, drawing on their resources to create a performative response to the Into the Wild programme, and the experience of being a recently graduated emerging artist in this context. This was presented in a sharing session with LADA and Chisenhale Studios staff, which was also documented by Alberto Balazs to create this short film.
Into the Wild is a free, year-long professional development programme for recent BA graduate artists at Chisenhale Studios. It aims to offer support and inspiration to artists in the early stages of their career and in need of practical advice on how to survive and thrive in the real world and develop their practice. Selected artists are between 1-4 years out of BA and represent a diversity of practices from across the spectrum of arts colleges around the country, or with equivalent experience. The programme involves an 8 week course crammed with talks and workshops by leading arts professionals, plus a year involving mentoring from Studio Members; exhibitions: publications and toolkits; curatorial support; and other opportunities to develop creative practice.
