Initial test film of Morse Beacon TX3. The work consists of a 600mm polished wooden buoy fitted with a morse beacon. The transmission consists of text taken from the John Henry Newman poem ‘the pillar of cloud’. This is well known in seafaring towns as the hymn ‘lead kindly light’. The work has been around a year in the making and is intended for Eyemouth Harbour as a commemoration of the fishing disaster that took place on the 14th of October 1881.
