ARENA DANCES' Mathew Janczewski brings his subtle, rich and viscerally honest choreographic voice to to the TEK BOX stage with a one-of-a-kind performance. Mark your calendars for this full-evening of dance performed by an all-female sextet, against the backdrop of Nils Frahm’s experimental, ethereal and contemplative music. A theme of personal and collective power will prevail, as the dancers negotiate the space around them, and each other, with movement that builds layer by layer, working toward a powerful resolution. Crafted collaboratively between Janczewski and the dancers, the piece is an intentional meditation on a larger social question:
How do we come together in one room, face conflict and negotiate, so that we can find strength as one collective voice?
