The Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) 2012 celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Performing Arts.

With the highest number of our leading performing arts companies being spotlighted as part of the official program, the impetus to celebrate this impressive step forward has led to the creation of a sublime export ready promotional DVD.

Featuring a dynamic film montage introduced by curator Rhoda Roberts and a focused look at each of the 12 export ready companies, this DVD provides a greater opportunity to engage with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island performing arts sector.

Including dance and theatre companies such as Bangarra, Ilbijerri, Yirra Yaakin and Marrugeku through to independent choreographers Vicki Van Hout, Gina Rings and more, this DVD focuses on the unique, contemporary and eclectic works of performers whose stories have grown from the roots of the oldest continuous living culture in the world.

Check out the footage, explore each companies chapter and open a window into a new world where contemporary stories echo the essence of the world’s oldest continuous living culture-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia.
