One of the highlights of EAA's AirVenture 2011 was the visit of the only flying Boeing B-29 Superfortress after a fifteen year absence. This EAA video spotlights "FIFI".
Of the nearly 4000 Superfortresses built during the war; only a handful still exist. Today only ONE still flies. The Commemorative Air Force owns and operates "FIFI" the only flying B-29! The CAF B-29/B-24 Squadron tours the nation each year as a flying tribute to the men and women who built serviced and flew the aircraft of WWII.
Wherever we stop we invite the public to take a tour of the aircraft, and for those lucky few the opportunity to purchase a Living History Flight Experience aboard "FIFI" or Diamond Lil (one of only two flying B-24 Liberators).
