Last Friday, Melt! Festival finally announced the first 33 acts to perform amongst the steel giants in Ferropolis from 13th to 15th July marking the beginning of the 15th summer of genre clashs near the quaint village of Gräfenhainichen. Newcomers as well as iconic headliners will grace our stages once more. We're happy to announce that Justice will celebrate their Melt! premiere this year. Joining the line-up for yet another round of memorable performances are Gossip, The Whitest Boy Alive as well as Caribou and Two Door Cinema Club, the latter two playing exclusive gigs at Melt! in 2012. After Kele Okereke's solo performance in 2010, he will celebrate a reunion with Bloc Party this year (new material to be expected in the summer!).
With Richie Hawtin, a third top-class curator is billed alongside Ellen Allien and Modeselektor to host individual stages in co-operation with Melt! Festival. Modeselektor will be back for the third time in a row hosting the Melt!Selektor stage on two consecutive days. With her entourage in two, Ellen Allien, techno queen and label boss at Bpitch Control, will, once again, ring in the final hours at Sleepless Floor. The Melt! Festival organisers are particularly proud to co-operate with Richie Hawtin this year. After his performance in 2011, the DJ will curate the Big Wheel Stage under the banner of "Richie Hawtin presents" on Sunday.

Last year, Plan B was supposed to present his debut, Who Needs Actions When You Got Words. Since he had to cancel due to illness, he will make up for it in 2012. With The Rapture, smashing performance lies ahead of us. Destroyer from Canada and The War on Drugs from Philadelphia will deliver decent guitar tunes whereas PeterLicht and Dillon are all about the differenciated, melancholic, and sophisticated side of things.

We're also looking forward to Brandt Brauer Frick getting behind the DJ booth once again, to Benga's dubstep skills, Laurent Garnier pres. LBS, Gesaffelstein live, Brodinski's bass-laden house tunes and noisy techno tracks, afro-techno by Buraka Som Sistema, the wonderfully reserved electro attitude of Maya Jane Coles and Sebastian as well as DJ sets from The Bloody Beetroots, Flux Pavilion, Adam Beyer, Dave Clarke, Todd Terje, Dixon, Sebo K und Switch.
