After winning scholarships at RADA and LAMDA for Technical Theatre Toby completed a diploma at LAMDA in 2003. Toby soon started his first production company designing and producing private events and concerts, including The Happy Mondays, Sugababes & The Ludlow Shakespeare Festival. Now Toby is the Founding Director of "I Smashed It Productions". He has moved on from Lighting Design into Production Design, creating and developing all elements of a live show. Recent projects include various international festivals and Artists including Matt Corby, Art Vs Science, Elbow, Elton John, The Prodigy, Mogwai, Good Charlotte, James Blake, Lily Allen, Manic Street Preachers, Smirnoff and Plan B. Toby’s most long-standing and continuing client are The Chemical Brothers, working with them since 2003, having completed multiple world tours and headlining festivals around the globe such as Glastonbury and making the feature film ‘Don’t Think’ at Fuji Rock. They are currently in the middle of another world tour - ‘No Geography’.
