Two instructors for MIT's AITI (Accelerating Information Technology Innovation) in Rwanda and Sri Lanka report back from AITI's summer bootcamps in 2011.
In both countries the curriculum identified over 70 students who went on to establish startup mobile applications businesses, negotiate deals with mobile phone companies, win investments from MIT professors and alumni and pitch business ideas at an international IT convention in Geneva Switzerland.
