The war correspondent Jack Lieb was sent to England in 1944 by the American agency News of the Day to report on the planned landing of Allied troops in Normandy. He used his private 16mm film camera to shoot additional color film material in addition to the news images. This part of the footage shows images from London and the south coast of England shot in May 1944. The commentary text is spoken by Jack Lieb. He edited his material for a screening in the 1960s.
