The annual Summer School in Translational Cancer Research is hosted by Cancer Core Europe (CCE) and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), organized by the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg, and supported by the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) as well as others. Education with a focus on translational cancer research remains an unmet need. Therefore, the Summer School covers a broad spectrum of topics ranging from basic and clinical research, to the implementation of scientific insights into the health care system. Esteemed lecturers give overview presentations and are available for discussions. An important goal of the Summer School is the interaction between participants and speakers coming from both preclinical laboratories and clinical centers. We aim at stimulating interactions to foster multidisciplinary collaborations at an international level.
