Using openFrameworks to create a 3D space
Code for Art - assignment 1
Based on the first prototype that I did last week, I use OFEASYCAM to make my 3D space better. Now, it is moving and rotating smoothly.
I can change the box spacing, size, color and numbers.

I am trying to achieve zoom in /zoom out function next step. I think there is a huge space to make my project more attractive and more beautiful.
Infinity (symbol: ∞) is a concept in many fields, most predominantly mathematics and physics, that refers to a quantity without bound or end. People have developed various ideas throughout history about the nature of infinity. The word comes from the Latin infinitas or “unboundedness”.
I’m always interested in parametric design and three-dimension. I’m going to design a 3D space, which is a parametric design. There is an infinite object rotating in the space. The object will be designed in parametric method. Perhaps, I would like to choose fractal (A fractal is a mathematical set that has a fractal dimension that usually exceeds its topological dimension and may fall between the integers. Fractals are typically self-similar patterns, where self-similar means they are “the same from near as from far”Fractals may be exactly the same at every scale, or as illustrated in Figure 1, they may be nearly the same at different scales. The definition of fractal goes beyond self-similarity per se to exclude trivial self-similarity and include the idea of a detailed patternrepeating itself.) as my initial object. There are two reasons that why I choose fractal. First of all, from the form, fractal is a kind of parametric. And, indeed, it can be considered as an organic form, which is a concept that likens literary works to living organisms forming themselves by a process of ‘natural’ growth. From my perspective, organic form is the most attractive and beautiful form in the world. Again, we can realize that organic form is a form of nature; the power of organic form comes from nature. The power of nature is infinite and super magnificent. That is to say that, I would like to design a virtual three-dimension modeling to express the power of organic or the nature. What’s more, fractal patterns looks like trees, the shape of rivers, galaxy and so on. We can find some connection between fractal and nature; parametric and fractal.
