An experimental animation of Saturn's satellite Enceladus. The digital elevation model (DEM) of Enceladus should be fairly realistic. It is based on 55 images obtained by NASA's Cassini spacecraft and was created using a simple shape from shading algorithm followed by 'destriping' and extensive processing. No texture map was used for Enceladus so all of the details visible are from the DEM. The field of view is 50 degrees.
The individual frames were rendered using software written by myself.
