The 5th Annual Burton Pillow Fight was held at Stevens Pass on February 25th and 26th. The camp welcomed 60 ladies of all abilities for a weekend clinic of snowboard progression. Women from all over the country look forward to this event every year and this one was no exception – participants came from as far as New Mexico to join the shred-fest!
Not only did Pillow Fight attendees have 36” of pow to play with that weekend, the ladies had over 70 women’s specific snowboards and 50 bindings to choose from with the friendly help and expertise of The Sales Asylum’s Burton Demo Team as well as the Burton ShopGirls of the NW Territory: Jaymie Anselmo (evo), Kristin Ebeling (SnoCon), and Adrien Young (US Outdoor Store).
Over the course of two days the Pillow Fight attendees experienced what most women want on a perfect day of shred: snow, friends (new and old), motivating words of encouragement, progress, and most of all: FUN! There is no pressure involved, only positive reinforcement from the support of peers with similar interests and goals. The camp/clinic is an opportunity to break away from the boys and progress at a comfortable pace whether you’re out for your first time or finding comfort in your first chute.
