excerpts from GLEAN action

Excerpts from a performance action which premiered at the Barnes Foundation,Philadelphia, November 2019. GLEAN is inspired by the painting The Gleaners by Jean-Francois Millet. Against a soundscape of captured audio comprising black people under attack performance artist Tamara Suber balances a wooden cube on her back, on which a landscape is depicted, as she walks the entire court of the Barnes. Performance duration is approximately 40 minutes.
