We believe that The Salvation Army is an idea and it belongs to anyone who can make it real. It’s a big idea that exists within a living, breathing community of people who love the Lord and live to “win the world for Jesus.” And this community benefits from hearing the voices, feeling the passions and seeing it’s members live out this dream.
At the 2012 Regeneration conference, delegates were asked to participate in a group exercise called “The Soapbox.” Young adults involved with The Salvation Army were asked to finish the sentence “The Salvation Army I want to be a part of is…” We challenged delegates to (literally) get on their soapbox and testify about which part of this big idea they are going to make real.
