In a lesson this summer that stretched from musical improvisation to archival sound-quilting, Matana Roberts told me to trust that every idea I had came from a place in my relation to the world, to follow it through even if it was just to get to know that intersection a little more. I'm still searching, but maybe this is a love note for what I don't yet know.
